$49 Million Pacific Fire Protection Contract Centers on Guam

PACIFIC — The Navy awarded a Pacific fire protection engineering contract with a $49 million ceiling. Guam accounts for 75% of the anticipated work, with Hawaii and other regional locations sharing the remainder.
“InSynergy Engineering Inc.’s award creates a substantial fire protection engineering contract centered on Guam. For contractors, its relevance lies in engineering assignments and facility requirements, with the location of each order shaping the practical opportunity.”

Pacific fire protection work extends across several locations
The geographic allocation places Hawaii at 10%, followed by Tinian and Australia at 5% each. Other Pacific locations account for 2%. Meanwhile, Diego Garcia, Japan and Korea each represent 1%.
Accordingly, the agreement combines Guam and overseas assignments with work in Hawaii. It primarily supports Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific’s area, although the contract can also support worldwide projects.
Task orders determine funded assignments
The Navy committed $10,000 in fiscal 2026 military construction funds to meet the minimum guarantee. However, the $49 million ceiling does not represent immediate spending across the listed locations.
Future task orders will primarily use military construction funding. The contract term cannot exceed 60 months; the announcement expects completion in August 2031 or when all task orders finish.
Seven companies submitted offers in the competitive procurement. NAVFAC Pacific manages contract N62742-26-D-1210 from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. For specialists tracking this work, subsequent orders will provide the project-specific scope and funding details.
