Team Leader of CBIRF initial assessment team and Emergency Operations Staff. Responsible for operations, management, professional development and daily evaluation of over 140 Marines. Platoon assigned Marines coordinate and harden perimeter security along with extracting victims after WMD or Chemical -Biological attack. Primary Liaison to Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and tasked with Force Protection and victim evacuation after initial response of over 120 Marines. Responsible for providing security in Level A to contaminated area and crime scene. Also, primary Law Enforcement Liaison to federal agencies, state and local police in Washington D.C. Metro Area. Conducted bio-sampling operations in US Capitol buildings and US Post Offices in DC Area during Anthrax attacks of November 2001. Provided vulnerability assessments to unit or base commander as Antiterrorism/Force Protection Officer. Established protocols during Anthrax response for processing contaminated crime scene now used by the Department of Justice and the FBI.
