Rural Water Operator/Manager                                                                                                             2017-Present

Responsible for the management, health, safety and distribution of one of the largest Rural Water Districts in Kansas.

• Responsible for an area that covered 600 sq miles and 500 miles of water service line which serviced 750 customers
• Manages six standpipes, five booster stations, three re-chlorination stations, all of which are vital for delivery of safe drinking water that adheres to State and Federal regulations and guidelines.

Guard Shift Leader

Responsible for an entire internal security shift. Works for the force protection command watch floor 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and serves as the operational linkage between the Government and the contractor.

• Led and supervised 60 foreign nationals with a seven – man team securing a 700 – person American Military and Civilian Task Force in the Helmand Province, Afghanistan
• Managed multiple entry points, coordinated personnel and equipment searches, accounted for $500K worth of sensitive items and surveillance equipment

• Responsible for patrols covering, 1,132 square miles in the states of Kansas’ sixth largest county
• Communicated verbally and in written reports between the Sheriff’s Department, Courts and the Attorneys on multiple cases

• Conducted initial investigations, gathered evidence and documented statements; interviewed suspects, victims and witnesses in accordance with relevant legislation

Personnel Manager

Personnel Manager of a 24-man department with the global operation mission to deploy anywhere in the Pacific Command Area of Responsibility within 96 hours.

• Managed $15M+ in classified equipment vital to national security and the safety of 9 employees; resulted in zero losses, and the continued integrity of all classified materials

• Revamped the department’s training goals and developed new systems to improve the department’s operations; culminated in multiple training exercises
• Hand selected as the lead instructor to train Movement Techniques; resulted in 96 Team Leaders trained during the Team Leaders Course
• Developed and implemented a four-week battle rhythm which structured the department’s training around one Mission Essential Tasking List task per month

Ranger Instructor / Writer

Instructor in an Airborne Ranger Training Platoon. Responsible for the health, welfare, morale, discipline and combat readiness of a four Solider Ranger Training Team and 550 Ranger students annually.

• Conducted individual training, counseling, instructor certification and professional development for all assigned cadre; conducted coordination and instruction for all assigned Periods of Instruction

• Instructed over 500 Ranger students on patrolling and Standard Operating Procedures refinement for their leadership development; increased their performance as future Ranger Leaders
• Taught over 200 Ranger students on boat movements, rope bridge techniques, and patrolling in a coastal swamp environment

Personnel Manager

Responsible for the health, welfare, training and combat mission execution of a 25 – man Personal Security Detachment. Responsible for the personal security of the Director, Operations Manager, Executive Director and the Assistant Director during combat operations within the Kunar Province, Afghanistan.

• Integrated risk management process into operational planning for over 300 Combat/Logistics Operations during a 12-month period in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan; proved ability to lead under stressful, time critical conditions
• Maintained 100% mission capability and accountability of over $2M of organic and theater equipment in support of combat operations
• Oversaw the training and preparation of a 25 – man Personal Security Detachment ready to secure the Director and Assistant Director during combat patrols
• Participated in unit-level mission planning, preparation, execution, and recovery to ensure that hazard identification, risk assessment, and integration of controls were addressed prior to and during unit operations
• Observed unit operations to detect and correct unsafe practices, which degrade or inhibit mission accomplishment and recommend effective courses of action
• Ensured all personnel attached or assigned were trained in risk management and other safety-related subjects
