  ▪ Declared candidacy and ran for U.S. House of Representatives -Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District

▪  Supervised teams in fundraising, campaign strategies, media relations, logistics, website design, yard sign placement, radio advertisements, newspaper marketing, and strategic, targeted voter engagement.

▪  Earned 23% of the vote for the open Congressional seat in 2018 Primary election.
U.S. Peace Corps (Colombia) 2013 – 2017

DIRECTOR OF MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS

Direct all facets of country operations with field offices located across Colombia, enforcing corporate standards governance serving as the Peace Corps ambassador and legal representative.

▪  Planned and performed a project and program analysis across the entire country entity encompassing staffing and materials to gain an operational understanding after restarting operations.
▪ Compiled and presented a multi-year roadmap to rapidly build a head office and field presence in Colombia to service over 80 volunteers based across the country.

▪  Secured funding from the Peace Corps head office, leasing office space and contracting office, vehicles and computer equipment supported with tight fiscal accountability and logistics.

▪  Recruited an additional 7 staff, elevated volunteer training and rapidly expanded office space to cater to growth.

▪  Oversaw and drove implementation of a statistical model using crime statistics and Google Maps to identify districts in urban cities with high crime to combat the Peace Corps’ high incident rate of crimes inflicted on volunteers.

▪ Retrieved crime statistics from the UN, US Embassy and Colombia National Police, analyzed according to recorded crime forcing a decision to relocate Peace Corps volunteers from urban into rural areas.

▪ Cut crime aimed at volunteers by 90% while expediting Spanish language skills and engagement.

▪  Rejigged the disjointed and ineffective volunteer training model switching from urban training to a community-based model facilitated in a new field office.
▪ Instituted a 12-week intense program with host families to strengthen language and integration skills in preparation for the 2-year assignment.
