Amentum to acquire DynCorp International for an undisclosed amount
According to sources DynCorp Intl has reportedly inked the deal to be acquired by another private equity-backed government services company named Amentum.
“What I’m seeing in the market right now is a certain amount of pent-up demand here,” said Amentum CEO. “Since March, things kind of shut down and they are definitely breaking free right now. We are seeing a big pipeline of potential acquisitions and I’m certainly expecting that to pick up.”
In a joint release, the companies billed the deal as creating a mission-critical support services powerhouse, as they have had, collectively, $6 billion in revenue over the last 12 months. The new entity would employ 34,000 people in more than 30 countries.
