Experience

Project Manager / Site Security Manager, TOR International                                                    Jan 19 – Present

Deputy Project Manager working in support of the Department of State (DOS) on their Anti-Terrorism Assistance Project at the Joint Assistant Training Centre in Kabul.

Key Tasks

  • Operational security and risk management for the project within the joint military and police training academy.
  • Maintained and established a network of contacts and stakeholders which included international governmental agencies and military and police coalitions, to enable the efficient management of the operation
  • Completed detailed research and analysis on all current security and intelligence situations, in order to produce reports and briefings to the US Department of State Regional Security Office.
  • Worked collaboratively on joint planning meetings with the US Embassy Regional Security Office, US Department of State Anti-Terrorism Task Force and Special Operations Command Centre.
  • Management of a monthly $850k budget, working closely with the DOS Finance Department to establish and negotiate operational efficiencies in order to request funding and reduce overheads.
  • Managed diverse teams comprising of ex US Special Forces Operatives, FBI and CIA agents providing security to thirty DOD mentors supporting the training of the police Crisis Response Units.
  • Coordinated the implementation and execution of training directives for over one hundred armed personnel from the Afghan Presidential Protective Teams and Advanced Police Units.
  • Command and control of a Level 2 Medical Trauma and Anti-Terrorism Training facility, servicing live ranges and shoot houses, with use of dynamic entry equipment and explosives.

Project Risk Manager, Mondial RMC (PAX Mondial).                                                                  Nov 14 – Jan 19

Responsible for the security, safety and risk management countrywide for all international clients and 250 local nationals working from 20 municipal offices across four major cities in Afghanistan.

Key Tasks

  • Developed security and conflict analysis reports and presentations for senior management and government agencies to identify and mitigate risk for government staff and dignitaries.
  • Built a network of mentors throughout the country to enable them to train their own remote security teams and establish a consistent high level of competency across all regions.
  • Acted as a liaison to the Afghan and International military forces in support of the management of the aerial logistics supply chain, coordinated air movements and site security required for air resupply.
  • Security and project management for projects using remote teams in places like Kajaki Dam to enable power supply to be provided by the dam to the southern region of Afghanistan.
  • Coordinated the movement and liaison for clients when meeting with high profile government officials responsible for the curriculum for female schools within the country.

  • Compiled in depth risk analysis and progress reports for the joint military command in Iraq.
  • Reported directly to the regional security director while managing a twelve-person tactical advancement team providing security to high-ranking US military personnel.
