CONTRACT AWARD: $500 million for construction projects on Navy port in Rota, Spain

Department of Defense awarded a construction contract for general construction projects located primarily in the Rota, Spain, region.

The maximum dollar value including the base period and seven option years for all seven contracts combined is $500,000,000. The work to be performed provides for tasks for general building projects including airfield, industrial, infrastructure, administrative, training, retail, food service, munition storage, and community support facilities.

The term of the contract is not to exceed 96 months, with an expected completion date of June 2029. Fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $70,000 ($10,000 per contractor) are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
