Contract Award: $73M for O&M Services in the Middle East for the U.S. Air Force

The U.S. Air Force has re-newed DynCorp International's contract to manage U.S. Air Force War Reserve Materiel (WRM) assets pre-positioned in strategic sites in the Persian Gulf. Under the contract DynCorp International will manage military resources and materials, including expeditionary airfield resources, fuel support equipment, aerospace ground equipment, munitions, medical equipment, vehicles, rations and associated spares and other consumables. DynCorp International will have responsibility for receipt, inventory, accountability, maintenance, repair, periodic inspection, security, shipping and other aspects of supporting and managing these resources.

Department of Defense (DOD)DynCorp International, LLC, Fort Worth, Texas, was awarded a $73,980,649 modification exercising option year five on a firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-award-fee with cost-reimbursable line items contract for receipt, inventory, accountability, maintenance, repair, periodic inspection and test, serviceability, marling, storage, security, shipping, and reporting of War Reserve Materials resources. Work will be performed at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Langley AFB, Va., and overseas operations at Thumrait, Oman; Masirah, Oman; Salalah Port, Oman; Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar; Al Jaber, Kuwait; Al Dhafra, United Arab Imrates; and Manama, Bahrain, and is expected to be complete by Sept. 30, 2014. Fiscal 2014 Operations and Maintenance funds in the amount of $28,378,069 are being obligated at time of award. Air Combat Command/AMIC/OKC, Langley AFB, Va., is the contracting activity.
