Contract Award: $44M for Development, Testing, and Installation of the SureTrak Surveillance System in Africa

Professional Overseas Contractors - www.Your-POC.com
Based upon several successful installations within the U.S. military test range community, SureTrakTM was selected for implementation in several African nations as a Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) project funded under the Regional Maritime Awareness Capability (RMAC) program, authorized under section 1206 of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2006.  This legislation permits the Department of Defense to expend U. S. monies in support of training and equipping foreign militaries to undertake counter terrorism and stability operations.  These key objectives were identified and accomplished for the Gulf of Guinea projects.

Under a sole source contract to NAVAIR for the development and support of SureTrakTM, PAE engineers worked with U.S. Navy personnel to design and install maritime surveillance systems in the nations of Sao Tome & Principe and Nigeria.  These systems included command and control facilities, electrical systems, towers, maritime surveillance radars, Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), and video surveillance suites.   The team worked with the host nations to develop an effective Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and provided hands-on training for systems administration, daily operations, and maintenance of the system.
