USAID

According to U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) — Tetra Tech, Inc. was awarded the Company a five-year, $46 million single-award task order under Tetra Tech’s existing Rule of Law contract to support continued improvement of government and social systems in Jordan.

The frequent Fox News commentator who prosecutors say lied about a career with the CIA to win actual government work will be freed from jail while he waits for his trial to begin early next year, a federal judge ruled Friday.

After a lengthy and at times contentious hearing, U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III ordered that Wayne S. Simmons, 62, be allowed to return to his Annapolis, Maryland, home Monday, though the judge imposed a series of stringent conditions. Ellis ruled that Simmons, who will be monitored via a GPS ankle device, will not be able to leave his property except to see his attorneys or probation officials, and even then, he will not be allowed to drive himself. Ellis also banned Simmons from drinking alcohol - which he said will be monitored by sensors - and appointed Simmons's daughter to move in with him and watch him.

Last week BAE Systems, Inc. — one of the Pentagon’s biggest suppliers — disclosed that it would retain its technical services business, rather than focusing on military hardware like some of its defense industry peers have decided to do.  The announcement wasn’t a big surprise: President & CEO Jerry DeMuro stated in April when the business was put under review that the company was responding to interest from potential buyers, rather than any internal push to divest services.  Having spent the better part of a year assessing options, DeMuro’s team elected to hold onto its portfolio of high-end services such as cybersecurity and intelligence analysis.
