IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a contract under the Mobile Alabama Corps of Engineers to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for the power plant at the Joint Task Force Bravo base located at Soto Cano, Honduras.

"We are pleased to have this opportunity to bring IAP's global power solutions to the U.S. Southern Command (SouthCom) and establish our footprint in this important geographical region of the world. SouthCom encompasses 31 countries and 15 areas of special sovereignty," said Rick Nohmer, IAP Vice President of Operations. "We will begin moving demobilized power units from Afghanistan that we've stored in our Dubai warehouse facility into Honduras this month in preparation for the exchange of power equipment located on the air base."

MELBOURNE, Fla. and MCLEAN, Va. — Harris Corporation and Exelis, Inc. today announced a definitive agreement under which Harris will acquire Exelis in a cash and stock transaction valued at $23.75 per share, or an approximately $4.75 billion enterprise value. The agreement has been unanimously approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies. The transaction is expected to close in June 2015 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory and Exelis shareholder approval.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — BAE Systems Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $52,103,717 undefinitized contract for repair and alteration of USS O’Kane (DDG 77).

USS O’Kane will be undergoing a scheduled Drydocking Selected Repair Availability, which is the opportunity in the ship's life cycle to primarily conduct repair and alteration to systems and hull not available when the ship is waterborne.
