According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — Swiftships Shipbuilding, L.L.C.*, Morgan City, Louisiana, is being awarded an $18,000,000 not-to-exceed contract for the accomplishment of continuous lifecycle support for the Iraqi navy. This contract involves foreign military sales to Iraq. This contract will provide technical expertise in preventative and planned maintenance, emergent repairs, and platform overhaul support services for Iraqi patrol boats, off-shore vessels, and defender boats.

Work will be performed on Umm Qasr Naval Base, Iraq, and is expected to be completed by October 2015. FMS funding in the amount of $9,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and the contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

According to the DOD, Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc., Columbia, Maryland, was awarded an $11,050,167 modification (P0001) to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract W52P1J-12-G-0061 for contract services to support Army Field Support Battalion - Northeast Asia operations at Camp Carroll, Waegwan, Korea, and Sagami Army Depot, Japan.

Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $11,050,167 were obligated at the time of the award. Estimated completion date is Sept. 21, 2015. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, is the contracting activity.

According to FedBizOpps — The Government intends to award a sole source (in accordance with FAR 6.302-1) contract to Honeywell Technology Services Inc (HTSI) for staff augmentation support services at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Services to be procured include operations specialists, management analysts, current/future planner, executive administration assistant, contract analyst, supply personnel, plans and operations officer, operations analyst, logistics analysts and transportation personnel.

The contract will have a six month base period of performance and a six month option period. Anticipated award date is 26 September 2014. Competition is limited due to the transition time required for a new contractor to transition-in, the short period of performance, and to ensure continuity of services.
