Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe Africa Central awards a company out of Houston, TX $75 million for five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, KBR will provide engineering, design, construction, renovations, repairs, maintenance, demolition and other services at both Camp Lemonnier, and its associated Chabelley Airfield.

This work complements KBR's premier base operating support throughout Africa. Notably, the company has provided base operating support services at Camp Lemonnier since 2013, with work in the region dating back to 2002.

According to sources DynCorp Intl has reportedly inked the deal to be acquired by another private equity-backed government services company named Amentum.

“What I’m seeing in the market right now is a certain amount of pent-up demand here,” said Amentum CEO. “Since March, things kind of shut down and they are definitely breaking free right now. We are seeing a big pipeline of potential acquisitions and I’m certainly expecting that to pick up.”
