We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Tactical Systems Trainer to join our Training Team in preparing the newly formed Royal Saudi THAAD Firing Unit to complete Table VIII. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in the employment, operation, and maintenance of the THAAD system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Lead Tactical Systems Trainer and subject matter expert in the operation, employment, and maintenance of the THAAD system.
  • Provide expert instruction and guidance on THAAD system initialization, configuration, and fault recognition.
  • Lead and evaluate training drills including Ready For Action (RFA) drills, air battle management, and joint kill chain procedures.
  • Establish and maintain communication links critical to THAAD system operations.
  • Teach air defense tactics, intermediate defense design using the THAAD Portable Planner, and operational procedures within the Tactical Support Group (TSG).
  • Mentor and coach soldiers and officers on system maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault recognition.
  • Oversee and provide training on reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with two or more Downrange 14E Fire Control Operator instructors.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years' experience in a U.S. Army THAAD Battery
  • Doctor's certificate of mental and physical health with up-to-date immunizations
  • Background check
  • Active NACLC/ Tier 3 investigation required
  • Active passport

Skills Required

  • Four to seven years of experience as an MOS 140K in a U.S. Army Patriot Battalion or THAAD Battery
  • CW3 experience
  • Instructor experience
  • Tactical Control Officer (TCO) at a U.S. THAAD Battery; ECS and/or TCS experience
  • Patriot Master Gunner; Top Gun Course
  • Tactical Director (TD)
  • Battalion Standardization Team at a U.S. Patriot Battalion
  • Information & Coordination Central (ICC) experience; THAAD Portable Planner (TPP) knowledge
  • Brigade THAAD Standardization Officer time

Key Attributes

  • Proven expertise in the THAAD system, including its operation, employment, and maintenance.
  • Extensive experience in air battle management, air defense tactics, and joint kill chain procedures.
  • Familiarity with THAAD system initialization, configuration, and fault identification.
  • Strong knowledge of intermediate defense design, with proficiency in the THAAD Portable Planner.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, teach, and evaluate soldiers and officers in complex technical systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other instructors and operational teams.
