SOUTH KOREA & JAPAN — The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded a $112.5 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract modification exercising the second 18-month option period for commercial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) products supporting U.S. military installations across South Korea and Japan. The option extends the ordering period through January 26, 2028, and supports the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.
"SupplyCore Inc., a small business out of Rockford, Illinois, will continue as the prime vendor supplying MRO products to U.S. installations across South Korea and Japan — a role it has held on this contract since 2023. Contracts like this keep the day-to-day supply chain moving at Pacific bases, and they generate steady demand for professionals in supply chain management, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, procurement, logistics coordination, and the facility maintenance trades those products support." — POC
Under the MRO Tailored Logistics Support Prime Vendor model, the contractor sources and delivers the commercial products that keep installations functioning — HVAC components, plumbing and electrical supplies, tools, chemicals and lubricants, construction materials, and janitorial products — consolidated through a single vendor rather than hundreds of separate suppliers. SupplyCore received the modification (P00009) under contract SPE8E3-23-D-0005, a two-year base contract with two 18-month option periods; this award exercises the second and final option.
The performance region covers one of the most strategically important base networks in the U.S. military. South Korea and Japan host the backbone of America's Indo-Pacific posture — from Camp Humphreys, the largest U.S. overseas base, to installations like Osan, Kadena, and Yokota — and sustained investment in keeping those facilities operational reflects the long-term U.S. commitment to the region at a time of heightened focus on the Pacific theater.
For SupplyCore, the option award continues a Department of Defense relationship dating to the company's founding in 1987. The Rockford, Illinois small business holds multiple DLA prime vendor contracts spanning MRO, heavy equipment procurement, metals, and special operational equipment, and first secured the Korea-zone MRO contract in a competitive 2023 re-award valued at up to $375 million.
Fiscal 2026 through 2028 defense working capital funds will be used, with orders placed through the January 2028 ordering period end date. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.
