Title: Company Sergeant (OR 8) Director of Training Branch, DFHQ. 2013 – Present
Responsibilities:
• Senior NCO in the Defence Forces (DF) Directorate of Training, DFHQ, with special responsibility for
Training design, development and evaluation of DF Training and Education programmes.
• Developing, coordinating and evaluation of all pre deployment training packages for DF overseas deployments.(16 Missions throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and The Middle East )
• Managing and administrating an office with a staff of 25
• Delivering C-IED and threat awareness guidance and training to Irish Special Forces, in addition to mission specific C-IED training and lectures to selected units deploying overseas.
Title: Sergeant (OR7), Ordnance School C-IED Cell-Instructor 2010-2013
Responsibilities:
• Programme design, development, and evaluation. Maintaining a Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) culture, and the development of National & International training programmes in several C-IED disciplines.
• Subject Matter Expert in C-IED Training, with responsibility for coordinating all DF C-IED training for Career Courses, and Overseas Pre Deployment Training.
