• Support U. S. Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed, including travel to various Forward Operating Bases and camps for safety inspections and systems installations.
• Manage and participate in installing power and grounding for communication equipment, ensuring proper electrical connection and grounding. Install underground wiring, panels, and disconnects for multiple observation and radar towers to include 4” PVC conduit, 250MCM conductors, & 4/0 Cable.
• Install feeder and branch circuits including conduit, service wire, fuse and breaker panels, switches, outlets, junction and outlet boxes, lighting fixtures, splices, and connectors. Install branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and conduit in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on 120/208 volt and 277/480 volt electrical systems and equipment. Construct and maintain service equipment. Manage electrical work of assigned employees. Inspect and report on existing equipment. Assist military with maintaining generators.
Key Achievements:
• Rewired existing, ungrounded electrical systems from Main Distribution to branch circuitry, installing a grounded system, performing all work in a very remote, heavily hostile enemy environment.
