Lead Cost Engineer (Drilling & Operations)
- Lead the development and implementation of company’s Project Controls best practices, systems, processes, and standards.
- Spearhead annual budgeting & planning process; plan scope of work, create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), define & sequence activities, estimate activity resources & durations, develop schedules, develop cost estimates & determine budget, identify, quantify & qualify risks, and plan long lead procurements.
- Coordinate the preparation of refined cost estimates for Authorizations for Expenditures (AFE) and interface with JV project team to ensure approvals prior to work commencement. Set up codes in SAP based on WBS structure.
- Lead my team in monitoring, controlling & tracking commitments and expenditures against budgets, control and monitor progress on scheduled activities, monitor risks, analyze & evaluate impact of change requests, perform integrated change control through Management of Change process & update baselines with approved changes.
