Experience

Dear Sir / Madam,

As a professional with comprehensive years of experience in the electrical project and maintenance management field and already working as Core crew Maintenance Electrician on the Brae Alpha. I am well positioned to make your company grow.

The following examples from my CV represent the value I can deliver in a new role:

  • At present I am a core crew maintenance electrician with authorisations as a performing authority with the training to put LV isolations on designated equipment. In general, I am involved with maintenance, breakdowns and various isolations.
  • Organised and completed the electrical installation of switchgear, transformers, cables and lighting for the platform welding teams on the ‘BP Clair Ridge Platform’.
  • Isolated and made safe an emergency generator which caught fire during night shift on the ‘Claymore Platform’ (February 2015).
  • Part of a team successfully installing and commissioning a 14MVA transformer on the ‘East Brae Platform’.
  • Part of a team successfully replacing and commissioning a number of HV ‘Main Oil Line’ (MOL) pump motors.
  • Helped and advised ‘Baker Hughes’ with problems related to their electrical equipment and saved them in excess of £100,000 by advising repairs on their offshore equipment.
  • Served as shadow project manager (Last part of my “BSc (Hons) Maintenance degree”) during the construction of Piper Bravo Platforms Drawworks on the drill floor and successfully commissioned the project.

During my career, I have applied my proven expertise and on-going professional development to meeting and exceeding all objectives put before me. In my previous role as an “Offshore Electrical Isolating Authority” (IAE) (APE) with AMEC FW (Chevron/Conoco Phillips & BP Platforms), I was responsible for making decisions on the electrical isolation and safety of equipment with respect to their connecting documentation. Further examples of my skills and achievements are outlined on the attached document. As you will see, I am dedicated to partnering with a team with the same passion for growth and success within the electrical and project management field.

I would very much like the opportunity to discuss, in person, how I can meet the demands of this role in order to advance the overall mission of your company. Thank you for reviewing this letter.

Yours Sincerely,

PAUL TAYLOR
