Logistics Management Specialist (GS-0346-13) - Currently serves for the Apache Attack Helicopter Production & Fielding Office Representative stationed at RASM-West Fort Riley, Kansas LRC-A Mod facility. Delivers assistance to weapon system item managers (IM), field liaison engineers (LE), Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) engineers, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineers, and field LAR’s regarding material availability on major weapons subsystems and support equipment required to meet DA readiness standards. Utilizes the Army Maintenance Management System / Maintenance Consolidated Database System (TAMMS-A / MCDS) to screen and evaluate historical parts data in order to provide the most accurate numbers for integrated logistical support decision-making. Completes regular quality checks of the aircraft notebooks (ACN) files to ensure forms and records are complete. Ensures there are no missing required aircraft information before units inspect. Exploits the AMCOM Message Tracking System (AMTRACKS) to ensure required compliance for aviation safety/maintenance messages and provide leadership the current compliance status.
Utilizes Web Desk daily to review weapons system status report for maintenance trends and unit specific issues and provides guidance to units. Certifies suggested courses of action complies with existing maintenance policies.
