
Department of Defense awarded over $6 million for sustainment of a C-130 repair to Precision Aerospace yesterday at a joint military Air Base in Indonesia. Precision Aerospace Corporation performs machining, stamping, welding, assembly, testing, and extensive layout/inspection of medium to high complexity mechanical aircraft components and assemblies. The company serves over two dozen aircraft customers and approximately ten non-aerospace customers.
Back stateside Precision Aerospace recently expanded its new office in June and created new jobs in Michigan after consolidating 3 corporate offices. The State of Michigan announced a $2.5 million tax credit on a proposed $10.1 million to create 190 new jobs in five years. Precision has been dedicated to meeting the needs of the aerospace industry for over 40 years. The work for this contract award is scheduled to be performed at the Bandung Air Base and is expected to be completed by June 16, 2016.
Precision Aerospace Corp., doing business as Pacific Propeller, Kent, Wash., has been awarded a $6,647,054 modification (P00001) for the contract (FA8553-13-C-0002) for Phase II of the C-130 propeller repair shop. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $9,414,716. The contract modification provides for the exercise of an option for additional sustainment of the C-130 propeller repair shop, and also changes the specifications for the sustainment of the C-130 propeller repair shop provided under this contract. Work will be performed at Bandung Air Base, Indonesia, and is expected to be completed by June 16, 2016. The current effort is 100 percent foreign military sales for Indonesia. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/WLKCB, Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Ga., is the contracting activity.
