$100M Construction Contract Supports Naval Station Rota in Spain


SPAIN | PORTUGAL — A combined $100,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award construction contract has been awarded for work centered at Naval Station Rota in Spain. The contract covers design-build, design-bid-build, new construction, repair, alteration, and demolition of existing infrastructure, with potential work extending to other facilities in Spain and Portugal.

“Multiple Spanish and regional construction firms now have access to long-term Navy infrastructure work tied to Naval Station Rota, one of the most important U.S. military locations in Europe. This contract should support demand for project managers, construction superintendents, engineers, estimators, skilled trades, safety personnel, logistics staff, and facility support roles as task orders begin moving across Spain and possibly Portugal.” — POC
