Caddell Construction Awarded U.S. State Department Project in Nairobi, Kenya

Caddell has been awarded a contract for the design-build of major additions & upgrades to the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.  Primary scope elements include a new office annex, a support annex, expansion to the existing Marine Guard Quarters, service compound access control, a utility building, a parking structure, and a perimeter wall.  Caddell will also perform renovations to the existing Chancery and USAID buildings.  Caddell will build these new facilities while the embassy continues full operations.  Caddell’s design partner is Integrus Architecture with headquarters in Spokane, Washington.  Project completion is scheduled for 2021.

Caddell Construction has been awarded a contract for construction of a New U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, Mexico.  Primary project elements include a new office building with a Marine Security Guard residence and secure support annex; an underground parking structure and maintenance & warehouse facilities; four campus access pavilions: a large library; a utility building; a police barracks; perimeter walls and fences; paved courtyards, and other landscaping.  The project is scheduled for completion in 2022.

Caddell Construction Awarded U.S. State Department Project in Athens, Greece

Caddell has been awarded a contract for the renovation of the existing historic U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece, as well as major new additions and upgrades.  Primary scope items include renovation and rehabilitation of the office building chancery, renovation and a major new addition to the office annex, a new entrance pavilion and connector between the chancery’s north and south wings, a new main compound access control facility, and security upgrades for the Marine Guard Quarters and three existing compound access control facilities.  Caddell must perform the work in carefully managed phases to allow the embassy to continue full operations during the construction and renovation activities.

Project completion is currently scheduled for 2022.

The DART has experts in Haiti, Jamaica and the Bahamas. The U.S. Government is also communicating with officials in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Colombia, the Cayman Islands and Belize to coordinate relief efforts, if requested.

USAID is providing $400,000 for initial relief assistance in Haiti and Jamaica. USAID will work with international partners to distribute critical relief supplies, manage emergency shelters and provide logistics support to humanitarian organizations.

USAID's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance has begun preparing commodities shipments from its emergency stockpiles in the region, for rapid distribution to thousands of impacted families. These commodities will include hygiene kits, plastic sheeting, kitchen sets, blankets, collapsible water containers, and water storage bladders. Before hurricane season, USAID also strategically pre-positioned emergency relief supplies-including shelter materials, blankets, hygiene kits, household items, and water purification equipment-to ensure they are rapidly available to help communities affected by hurricanes.

As Hurricane Matthew moves through the region, USAID-in coordination with local governments and partners-will continue to assess the situation and can scale up assistance to meet needs on the ground.
