Last week BAE Systems, Inc. — one of the Pentagon’s biggest suppliers — disclosed that it would retain its technical services business, rather than focusing on military hardware like some of its defense industry peers have decided to do.  The announcement wasn’t a big surprise: President & CEO Jerry DeMuro stated in April when the business was put under review that the company was responding to interest from potential buyers, rather than any internal push to divest services.  Having spent the better part of a year assessing options, DeMuro’s team elected to hold onto its portfolio of high-end services such as cybersecurity and intelligence analysis.

The United States' occupation of Iraq established what is known as consensual democracy based on the division of society into Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds, as was the case in the pre-state phase. The political circumstances in the country have not been this terrible since 1921. Everyone observed how a corrupt elite has turned Iraq into a sectarian state in which the true concept of state is absent.

Violent groups such as ISIS and the popular opposition forces are outlawed militias that do not adhere to any constitution. Although the popular forces enjoy the support of the government, the latter has framed and directed them toward the implementation of a sectarian agenda as the government's position is against the Sunnis. When talks about supporting the Sunnis began, the current government in Baghdad started to worry about its future.

One of the two Americans killed in a shooting attack Monday that left five people dead at a Jordanian police training center lived in the Tampa Bay area.James "Damon" Creach, 42, has lived in New Tampa with his wife and three children for several years, family and neighbors said.

Creach worked as a law enforcement instructor for DECO Inc., a privately held company that performs a range of law enforcement and security work. Creach had also worked as a police officer for the Virginia Beach Police Department.
