The U.S. Army Sustainment Command awarded a nine-month task order award extension that began April 1, 2020 to continue providing base life support and operations and maintenance services in Afghanistan under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) IV contract.
The extension, valued at $185 million for services requiring more than 2,900 personnel, is for various locations in Southern Afghanistan. More than 17,000 NATO troops are currently supporting Operation Freedom Sentinel in Afghanistan.

DynCorp International has continuously provided LOGCAP support services for the U.S. Army in Southern Afghanistan for 11 years.
LOGCAP is a Department of Army regulatory program providing a broad range of contracted logistics and support services to augment U.S. and allied forces during combat, peacekeeping, humanitarian, and training operations.
KBR has announced it has been awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Air Force for worldwide contingency and humanitarian support. This Air Force Contract Augmentation Program V (AFCAP V) contract has a maximum ceiling of $6.4 billion.
Under this multiple-award contract, KBR will have the opportunity to compete on task orders to provide a full range of support for the U.S. government. These services could include assisting with contingency planning, deploying, training and equipping of U.S. military forces; emergency and contingency construction; and logistics and commodities.
KBR may perform these tasks in locations around the world. The contract’s period of performance is eight years. KBR has held a seat on predecessor contracts, AFCAP III and IV, since 2005.

The U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has awarded BAE Systems, Inc. a prime position on a $212 million contract to integrate and sustain its critical communication systems. The company will design, acquire, integrate, and test radio systems for newly constructed Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG) and other U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard ships.
Additionally, the company was awarded a separate $104.7 million contract by NAWCAD to provide engineering and technical services to support production, lifetime-support, and in-service engineering for the radio communications C5ISR (command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) systems aboard U.S. Navy surface combatants and at associated shore sites. The work will be focused primarily on the CG 47 Class and DDG 51 Class AEGIS ships.

All awardees will have the opportunity to compete for task orders during the ordering period. This two-year contract includes two three-year option periods, which, if exercised, would bring the overall potential value of this contract to an estimated $249,033,405.
Work will be performed primarily in the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region and Navy Region Southwest including Hawaii, Guam, Japan, California, Nevada, Washington state, Oklahoma, South Korea, Singapore, Philippines and Australia; and outside this region in Bahrain, Djibouti and Italy. Work will be performed outside the continental U.S. (50%); and inside the continental U.S. (50%) on a full-time basis. GTACS II is the Army’s largest contract vehicle in networked battle command solutions for in-theater support outside the continental U.S. Awardees will have the opportunity to provide systems life cycle support, including engineering, process development, trouble-shooting, training, customization, maintenance of technology systems and other services to support the evolution and refinement of these systems.
According to the Department of Defense (DoD), a company out of Reston, Virginia, was awarded a $12,847,708 contract for information technology support services.
Work will be performed in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2025. Fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance, Army funds in the amount of $12,847,708 were obligated at the time of the award.
