DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory — The U.S. Navy has expanded its construction efforts at Naval Support Facility (NSF) Diego Garcia, awarding a $70 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract modification to five joint venture firms.
A company out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been awarded a contract valued at up to $60 million. The award, issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic, covers professional services in support of Navy public works across a broad geographic scope, including the continental U.S., the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and Southwestern Asia.
