HOUSTON – KBR, Inc. announced today that its global government services business has been awarded a contract modification by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) to provide prepositioning and logistics support services for the USMC Blount Island Command.

"KBR is dedicated to serving U.S. Marines at home and abroad," said Stuart Bradie, KBR President and CEO. "We will continue to support the U.S. Marine Corps' prepositioning programs by diligently maintaining combat-ready equipment and material through this contract modification."

According to the Department of Defense (D0D), the contractor was awarded a $13,173,353 contract to provide Class V munitions supply support for all ammunition stocks accounted for by 1st Sustainment Command. Bids were solicited via the Internet with seven received.

Work will be performed in Kuwait City, Kuwait, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 27, 2024.
