According to the Department of Defense, the contractor was awarded a $38,619,610 to repair and restore the electric power grid in Puerto Rico.

Work will be performed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2017. Fiscal 2018 civil works funds in the amount of $38,619,610 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Florida, is the contracting activity.

Professional Overseas Contractors

The Department of State awarded Caddell Construction Company of Montgomery, Alabama the construction contract for the major rehabilitation of the U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece. This project includes the rehabilitation of, and additions to, the existing chancery and other buildings. The architect for the project is Ann Beha Architects of Boston, Massachusetts.

Since 1999, as part of the Department’s Capital Security Construction Program, the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) has completed 138 new diplomatic facilities, with an additional 61 projects now in design or under construction.

Professional Overseas Contractors

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the contractor $7,758,625 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-17-G-0001) for the procurement of six ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems, related support equipment, training, site activation, technical services, and data for the government of Iraq under the Foreign Military Sales program.

Work will be performed in Baghdad, Iraq (67 percent); Bingen, Washington (30 percent); and Hood River, Oregon (3 percent), and is expected to be completed in August 2018. Foreign military sales funds in the amount of $7,758,625 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
