Constellis said today it has agreed to acquire Centerra Group from private-equity owner Alvarez & Marsal Capital, bringing together two companies with deep roots in security work.
Constellis, which has more than 8,000 employees, was established in 2012 and combined ACADEMI -- a follow-on company to Blackwater -- with other security contractors like Triple Canopy. Those companies were best known for battlefield work.
According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the contractor has been awarded an $11,766,078 to task order previously awarded for remotely piloted aircraft operations and maintenance support.
Work will be performed at Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, and is expected to be complete by March 31, 2018. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance; and overseas contingency operations funds in the amount of $11,766,078 are being obligated at the time of award.
According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the contractor has been awarded a $25,560,000 to previously awarded contract to operate and maintain Thule Air Base. Contractor support includes civil engineering; airfield and water port operations; fuels management; transportation; non-secure communications; environmental management; food services; medical and public health; supply; recreation and community services.
Work will be performed at Thule Air Base, Greenland, and is expected to be complete by Sept .30, 2017.
