Fluor Corporation FLR announced today that the U.S. Army has selected Fluor as the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) IV contractor to provide regional forward planning support for Africa Command (AFRICOM), to include the countries within Africa, the African Union and African regional security organizations, and Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), to include Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

“From the work we do through our commercial Energy & Chemicals and Mining business lines to our work serving the U.S. Government, Fluor has extensive experience in Africa and the Americas,” said Bruce Stanski, president of Fluor’s Government Group. “Regionally aligning LOGCAP IV will provide an improved rapid response capability for contingency operations and increase mission efficiencies. We look forward to planning alongside AFRICOM and SOUTHCOM to meet their logistics and life support services requirements.”

According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — Vectrus Systems Corp., Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $11,989,972 addition to previously awarded contract FA5641-15-C-0001 for base maintenance and operations services in Turkey and Spain.

Contractor will provide Turkey Spain Base Maintenance Contract contingency support of Operation Inherent Resolve contingency personnel surge in Turkey. Work will be performed at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, and is expected to be complete by March 27, 2016.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — General Dynamics Land Systems Customer Service and Support, Sterling Heights, Michigan, was awarded a $7,184,510 contract for maintenance, technical inspections, and testing of the Army Prepositioned Stock and Theater Sustainment Stock Abrams tracked vehicles.

Work will be performed in Kuwait with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2017.
