Over the last 10 years, the Iraqi government has committed to purchasing several billion dollars’ worth of U.S. military equipment. Since the withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from Iraq in December 2011, more than a dozen large U.S. defense firms have deployed personnel and equipment to support these programs.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — SOS International, Reston, Virginia, was awarded a $36,000,000 to contract W56KGZ-15-C-4000 for base life support at Camp Taji, Iraq, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2015.

According to Department of Defense (DoD) — AECOM Technical Services Inc., Los Angeles, California, is being awarded a maximum $45,000,000 architect-engineering contract for preparation of Navy and Marine Corps facilities planning and environmental documentation in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Europe Africa Southwest Asia (EURAFSWA) area of responsibility (AOR).

The work to be performed provides for design projects including, but not limited to: administration buildings, religious facilities, community buildings, dining facilities, recreational facilities, security buildings, child development centers, bachelor quarters, Navy lodges, airfield facilities, waterfront facilities, operational facilities, base housing, water treatment facilities and associated work, central plant utility system upgrades, and other infrastructure. No task orders are being issued at this time.

According the Department of Defense (DoD) — Alliant Techsystems Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded a $14,173,202 contract action for contractor logistic support for the Iraqi Air Force's Cessna 208B fleet. Contract provides for request to return to original performance location and the ongoing security situation in the host country.

Work will be performed in Iraq and is expected to be complete by Dec. 31, 2015. This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales to Iraq. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (FA8106-10-C-0010).
