According to Department of Defense (DoD) — Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $10,581,620 contract in support of the F-35 Lightning II Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot VI for the Government of Italy.

This modification provides for the F-35 Italian National Database, including a Database Generation System to support delivery of the first Italian full mission simulator. Work will be performed in Turin, Italy 80% and Orlando, Florida 20%, and is expected to be completed in April 2017.

WOOD DALE, Illinois — AAR Airlift announces its Airlift division has been awarded a contract by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence for Search & Rescue (SAR) and Support Helicopter services in the Falkland Islands. The contract is valued at approximately $275 million (approximately £180 million).

AAR Airlift, together with British International Helicopters (BIH) and Air Rescue Systems (ARS), will provide a combined SAR and Support Helicopter service to the British Forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI) operations. The program will include AgustaWestland AW-189 SAR helicopters, Sikorsky S-61 support helicopters, flight operations, maintenance, logistics and facilities support at the Mount Pleasant Complex in the Falkland Islands and surrounding maritime region.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, California, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $34,628,216 cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contract . The contractor will support the United Kingdom Contractor Logistics Support program.

Work will be performed at Poway, California, and various overseas locations and is expected to be complete by Oct. 31, 2015. This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
