ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 8 (UPI) — Logistics and acquisition support services will continue to be provided for the U.S. Navy's littoral combat ships program by CACI International Inc. The bridge contract is for a base period of performance of eight months, with two options of three months each. It carries a value of $44 million if the options are exercised.

"Large ship programs entail many complex challenges in the areas of logistics, operations, and sustainment, and we have the acquisition, logistics, and operational expertise to help the customer continue attaining all program objectives."

The Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) announces the design/build construction award, through best value determination, for a major renovation of the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan to B.L. Harbert International of Birmingham, Alabama.

The project will provide a new office annex and community facilities, as well as major renovation to the existing 12-acre embassy site, including security upgrades to the Chancery building, and life safety and infrastructure improvements. Project completion is anticipated in fiscal year 2018.

Granite Construction Company Guam, Watsonville, California, is being awarded a maximum amount $75,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for paving construction services at U.S. government shore-based facilities in Guam. The work to be performed provides for the construction, alteration, repair, and/or maintenance of asphalt concrete roads, streets, highways, alleys, parking areas, and their associated facility, such as but not limited to concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, guardrails, U-ditch, drainage pipe, traffic striping, pavement marking, and related work.

Work will include cold milling, excavation, embankment grading or subbase and base course, compaction, density test, bituminous surface treatment, seal coating, asphalt concrete paving, adjustment of existing utilities and structures and other related work.
