General Dynamics Information Technology has been awarded a task order to provide information technology (IT) management services in Afghanistan to support U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Middle East District reconstruction and infrastructure-development programs. The task order was awarded under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract and has a potential value of $16 million over eighteen months if all options are exercised.

Department of Defense awards 3 contracts Friday worth $272 million for rotary wing aircraft, personnel, equipment, tools, material, maintenance and supervision necessary to perform passenger and cargo air transportation services in Afghanistan. A mixture of medium, heavy and super-heavy lift rotary wing aircraft will be needed to fulfill airlift requirements.  The original solicitation for this contract was solicited back in 2010 to notify interested parties that the USTRANSCOM Acquisition Directorate anticipates issuance of a solicitation to provide rotary wing transportation services for CENTCOM.

A business unit of ManTech International has won a potential seven-year, $85 million contract to work with the U.S. Navy to prepare documents on military readiness activities. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific received seven offers for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineer services contract via the Navy’s e-commerce website, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

ManTech SRS Technologies will help the Navy compile documents on environmental and operational military range plans primarily for activities in the Pacific Ocean region. The division could also help compile documents detailing military training and testing areas and installations in other locations worldwide, the Pentagon said.
