A business unit of ManTech International has won a potential seven-year, $85 million contract to work with the U.S. Navy to prepare documents on military readiness activities. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific received seven offers for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineer services contract via the Navy’s e-commerce website, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

ManTech SRS Technologies will help the Navy compile documents on environmental and operational military range plans primarily for activities in the Pacific Ocean region. The division could also help compile documents detailing military training and testing areas and installations in other locations worldwide, the Pentagon said.

The Shadow unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is used by the United States Army, Marine Corps, Australian Army and Swedish Army for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment. Launched from a trailer-mounted pneumatic catapult, it is recovered with the aid of arresting gear similar to jets on an aircraft carrier. Its gimbal-mounted, digitally-stabilized, liquid nitrogen-cooled electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) camera relays video in real time via a C-band line-of-sight data link to the ground control station (GCS).

Department of Defense (DOD) — Patriot Contract Services, LLC is a leading maritime contractor to the U.S. Government, managing and operating vessels. PCS currently manages five Ready Reserve Force (RRF) ships for the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD), four Surge Large Medium Speed RO-RO (LMSR) vessels for the United States Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), as well as one special mission ship and one LMSR prepositioned ship for MSC. PCS also provides crewmembers for vessels operated by Kwajalein Range Services and other ship operators.
