Contract Awards

The Louis Berger Group has won a $100 million contract to design and engineer construction projects at embassies and consulate sites for the U.S. State Department. LBG signed the five-year task-order-based contract with the department’s bureau of overseas buildings operations in March, the company said Thursday.

The company has worked with the bureau and its predecessor foreign buildings operations organization since the early 1990s.
“We’re excited to be working with OBO as a prime contractor again,” said Jeffery Willis, senior vice president of LBG’s regional program and construction management business unit.

SOS International announced today that it was selected out of 22 competing firms by the government of Iraq to serve as the exclusive provider of logistics, construction and life support services at four military facilities in Iraq. The sites, located in Besmaya, Balad, Taji and Um Qasr, are currently managed by the United States government under the auspices of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.

Department of Defense awarded ITT Exelis Systems Corp. a $127M Operation & Maintenance

Department of Defense - DoDITT Exelis Systems Corp., Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a maximum value of $127,150,517 for the operation, maintenance and defense of Army communications in Southwest Asia and Central Asia. Work will be performed in Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq and Qatar. Fiscal 2013 Operation and Maintenance funds in the amount of $30,000,000 are being obligated on this award. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with five bids received. The Army Contracting Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., is the contracting activity (W91RUS-13-C-0006)
