Harris Corporation Wins $92M Middle East Contract for Communications Systems

Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has received a $92 million contract from a Middle Eastern nation for an integrated command, control and communications system. The system will provide this customer with advanced capabilities for use in defense and security missions.

A unique, state-of-the-art capability being delivered under this contract is the integration of Harris Fusion 4G LTE (long-term evolution) base stations and ruggedized subscriber terminals to provide secure, private tactical cellular services. The Fusion tactical cellular system enables users to make mobile voice calls and access secure data services such as email, mapping and text messaging.

Department of Defense (DoD) awarded Ch2M Hill, Environmental Chemical Corporation (ECC), Kellogg, Brown, and Root (KBR), and URS Group a worldwide construction task order worth $800M. The construction and related engineering services would respond to natural disasters, humanitarian assistance and conflict areas. DoD also stated, the contractor in support of the construction effort, may be required to provide initial base operating support services, which will be incidental to construction efforts.

Department of Defense (DOD)CH2M Hill Constructors, Englewood, Colo., Environmental Chemical Corp., Burlingame, Calif., Kellogg Brown and Root Services Inc., Arlington, Va. and URS Group Inc., Morrisville, N.C., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award contract with provisions to issue cost-plus-award-fee or firm-fixed-price task orders for global contingency construction projects worldwide.  The maximum dollar value including the base period and four option years for all four contracts combined is $800,000,000.

Approximately 60 percent capacity would be used for natural disasters and 40 percent would be used for miscellaneous work both inside and outside of the continental United States.

CACI International Awarded Multiple-Award Contract for Support Services to US Navy worth $899M CACI International Inc announced today that it has been selected as one of 15 prime contractors to support Decision Superiority (DS) services for the U.S. Navy. With an anticipated ceiling value of $899 million, this five-year (one base plus four options) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is one of multiple “Pillar” contracts that will support the entire spectrum of non-inherently governmental services and solutions associated with full system lifecycle support of the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Atlantic Business Portfolios. CACI also won an SSC Atlantic award under the Battlespace Awareness Portfolio in November 2012. This new work further expands the company's command and control presence, a part of its C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) market, as well as its presence in the Business Systems, Cyber, and Enterprise IT markets.
