U.S. Embassy in Podgorica

During a ceremony to mark the construction of a new U.S. Embassy on September 21, 2021, the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Judy Rising Reinke, the Mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs State Secretary, Ljubomir Mišurović signed a stone that will be placed within the foundation of the new U.S. Embassy in Podgorica. Construction of the new chancery, managed and directed by the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), highlights the enduring ties that bind the strong U.S.-Montenegrin relationship and serves as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to the Montenegrin people.

Department of Defense awarded a company out of Annapolis, Maryland an additional $7,527,880 on previously awarded contract HTC711-19-D-W001. This modification provides an ocean liner service.

Work will be performed in Jacksonville/Blount Island, Florida; and U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The period of performance is from March 1, 2022, to Feb. 28, 2023.

The contract to build the largest U.S. hospital outside the United States has been signed, marking a significant step forward in progressing the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Medical Center Replacement (ROBMCR) project.

The German Construction Administration, in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District, and the U.S. Defense Health Agency, awarded a $969 million contract to Züblin and Gilbane Joint Venture to construct a new hospital at Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Germany.
