According to the Department of Defense (DoD), a company out of Stafford, Virginia, is awarded a $16,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract for grenade first article units, nine-bang flash-bang diversionary hand grenades production units, inert diversionary grenades, and cutaway diversionary grenades.

This procurement is for grenade first article unit and the nine-bang flash-bang grenades that are sound and flash devices, producing an intense light and sound display, used as a non-lethal means to distract and disorient in hostile environments that require less than lethal force. Inert and cutaway of the production units will be used for demonstration and teaching purposes. This procurement is in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command. Work will be performed in Trittau, Germany, and is expected to be completed by March 2026.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), is awarded a $40,257,640 firm-fixed-price contract for the operation and maintenance of eight government-owned large, medium-speed, roll-on, roll-off vessels. The vessels under this award include U.S. Naval Ship (USNS) Watson (T-AKR 310); USNS Sisler (T-AKR 311); USNS Dahl (T-AKR 312); USNS Red Cloud (T-AKR 313); USNS Charlton (T-AKR 314); USNS Watkins (T-AKR 315); USNS Pomeroy (T-AKR 316); and USNS Soderman (T-AKR 317).

Work will be performed worldwide, with an expected completion date of March 31, 2026. The maximum dollar value, including the base period and four option years, is $455,164,762. Working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $10,755,397; and working capital funds (transportation) in the amount of $29,502,243 are being obligated for fiscal 2021 at the time of the award.

Romania-map

According to the Department of Defense (DoD),  9 companies will compete for each order of the $250,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of new facilities and real property repair and maintenance requirements within Romania.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of March 3, 2026. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, European District, is the contracting activity.
