Contract Award: $9M for Logistics Support Services in Afghanistan
Logisticians provide a variety of support services, both in CONUS and OCONUS for the Defense Department, to include maintenance planning and the performance of field and sustainment maintenance operations. On Tuesday DOD awarded SENTAL a $9 million contract for integrated logistics support in Afghanistan:
SENTEL Corporation, Alexandria, Va., was awarded a $9,609,809 cost-plus-fixed-fee, option-eligible, non-multi-year contract modification of contract (W52P1J-12-C-0077) for integrated logistics support and related services. Performance location will be in Afghanistan with incremental funding from fiscal 2013 Operations and Maintenance Army funds. This contract was a competitive acquisition via the web with five bids received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
