The U.S. Army plans to award SOS International a sole-source contract to provide base life support and security services at a military installation in Taji, Iraq.
SOSi will provide the “noncommercial” services in support of a U.S.-led joint task force that aims to prevent the Islamic State militant group from destabilizing Iraq as part of Inherent Resolve, Army Contracting Command said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday.
According to the Department of Defense, the contractor was awarded a $41,658,522 modification (P00200), to contract W58RGZ-13-C-0040 for aviation field maintenance services.
Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas; Afghanistan; and Iraq, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2019.
According to the Department of Defense, the contractor was awarded a $247,852,066 modification (P00041) to contract W91RUS-13-C-0006 for operation, maintenance, and communications services.
Work will be performed in Kuwait City, Kuwait; Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar; Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan; FOB Union III, Iraq; Camp Red Leg, United Arab Emirates; and Jordan, Jordan, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2020.
