According to the Deparemt of Defense (DoD) — Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc., Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been awarded $24,530,443 to previously awarded contract FA8806-13-C-0001 to upgrade the remaining sides of the eight Air Force Satellite Control Network sites. Contractor will provide two additional hybrid remote tracking station block change (RBC) systems at Thule Tracking Station B-Side and Diego Garcia Tracking Station A-Side.

The work to be performed provides for general management and administration services; command and staff (information technology services, information technology support and management, telephone services, telecommunication services, antenna maintenance); public safety (fire protection and emergency services); air operations (ground electronics, airfield facilities, and passenger terminal and cargo handling); port operations; supply (supply services and petroleum, oil and lubricant management and operations, and ship’s store service activities); morale, welfare and recreation support;
Exelis Inc., Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been awarded a $21,958,021 contract for Ground-based Electro-optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) Service Life Extension Project (SLEP) Phase II. Contractor will provide system service and upgrade for the GEODSS weapons systems.
Work will be performed at Socorro, New Mexico; Diego Garcia; and Maui, Hawaii, and is expected to be complete by Feb. 13, 2018. Fiscal year 2013 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $6,233,194 are being obligated at the time of award. Space and Missile Center, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.
