(POC) — Guantanamo Bay the naval base, nicknamed "GTMO" or "Gitmo", covers 116 square kilometers (45 sq mi) on the western and eastern banks of the bay located in Guantanamo Province at the southeastern end of Cuba. It is the largest harbor on the south side of the island and it is surrounded by steep hills which create an enclave that is cut off from its immediate hinterland.

(POC) — Department of Defense has awarded $48,888,974 to previously awarded contract N69450-22-D-0010 for base operations support services at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
This award brings the total cumulative value of the contract to $96,754,647. The contract modification is for a 12-month bridge extension of base operations support services under the basic contract. Work will be performed at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and will be completed by November 2023.

Department of Defense has awarded $26,907,756 to provide continued scheduled fuel barge transportation service in the Atlantic Region.
Work will be performed at ports and points along the Atlantic coast as well as inland and coastal waterways from Texas to Maine, and also supports Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The period of performance is from Sept. 1, 2022, to Aug. 31, 2023.

Department of Defense awarded an $8,957,711 contract to repair two reverse osmosis units at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.
The work to be performed provides for the repair of two reverse osmosis units within the existing desalination plant, and the demolition of an existing, inoperable reverse osmosis unit. Work will be performed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and is expected to be completed by September 2022.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), a company out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is awarded firm-fixed-price task order N69450-21-F-0504 at $25,899,995 under a global contingency service multiple-award contract for base operating support services at Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay.
The work to be performed provides for base operating support services to include family housing, facility management, facility investment, custodial, pest control, integrated solid waste management, other (swimming pools), grounds maintenance and landscaping, utilities management, electrical, wastewater, water and base support vehicles and equipment.

URS Group, Inc., San Antonio, Texas, was awarded a $31,181,234 firm-fixed-price task order JM01 under a previously awarded multiple-award construction contract (N62742-09-D-1174) for replacement of a fuel pier and truckload facilities at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. The work to be performed provides for demolition of the existing pier and replaces it with a concrete fuel pier which includes fender piles, mooring dolphins, a control building and a ramp to transition from the pier to the shore.
