According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Warner Robins, Georgia, has been awarded an additional $18,834,540 modification to definitize previously awarded contract order FA8530-08-D-0008-0033 for sustainment for the Iraq C-130E/J aircraft.

Work will be performed at Baghdad, Iraq, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 31, 2016. This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales to Iraq. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — Sallyport Global Holdings Inc., Alexandria, Virginia, has been awarded a $271,813,941 contract FA8615-14-C-6020 for base life support, base operations support, and security for Balad Air Base, Iraq.

Work will be performed at Balad Air Base, Iraq, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2017. This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales to Iraq. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Three American contractors went missing in Baghdad late Thursday, after leaving the heavily fortified Iraqi military base without their security detail, armed only with pistols, according to a contractor with firsthand knowledge of the incident.

One of the Americans had previously been cautioned about leaving the base without guards. “He had a false sense of security,” the contractor said.
