(POC) According to the Department of Defense a company out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was awarded an additional $7,663,827 to previously awarded contract N62470-20-D-0004.

This modification provides for the exercise of Option Number Two for base operating support services at U.S. Naval Support Facility Deveselu. Work will be performed in Deveselu, Romania, and the option period is from August 2023 to July 2024.

Department of Defense (DoD) awarded a $44,485,901 contract to construct a storage complex for facilities, equipment, and vehicles in Campia Turzii, Romania.

Work will be performed in Campia Turzii, Romania, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 8, 2024.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the contractor has been awarded a not-to-exceed $42,636,136 to previously awarded contract FA8208-07-C-0001 for secondary power logistics solution increment one.

This modification provides for the performance-based logistical support of ground carts, auxiliary power units, and secondary power for B-2 and C-130 weapon systems.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the contractor was awarded a $17,468,173 contract for information technology support and services to support the mission of the 2d Signal (Theater) Brigade within the U.S. Army Europe, U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command areas of responsibility.

Work will be performed in Germany, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Israel, Turkey, and Kosovo, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2022. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $6,455,776 were obligated at the time of the award. 

Department of Defense awards Kellogg, Brown & Root Services Inc. (KBR) for construction at Military Deveselu Air Base in Romania. The United States and Romania jointly selected the Deveselu Air Base near Caracal, Romania, to host a U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense System which employs the SM-3 interceptor (also referred to as the “Aegis Ashore System”). The deployment to Romania is anticipated to occur in the 2015 timeframe as part of the second phase of the European Phased Adaptive Approach (EPAA) – the U.S. national contribution to a NATO missile defense architecture.

KBR is the incumbent on the existing USC contract and has operated continuously for this client in the Balkans since 1995. Currently, KBR is providing services in Kosovo, Romania and Germany under the USC Contract. KBR has been instrumental in the military’s success in the region from the DoD’s initial deployment on a fast-paced contingency mission to their current sustainment operations.
