Balad Air Base T-6A Sustainment Contract Signals Continued Aviation Support in Iraq

IRAQ — An $11.5 million contract has been awarded for T-6 sustainment and contractor logistics support tied to Iraq’s T-6A aircraft fleet. The contract covers sustainment support for 15 T-6A aircraft, including supply support, field service representative support, labor, and engineering task assignments.
Work will be performed at Balad Air Base, Iraq, and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2028.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Legacy Training Aircraft Division, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is the contracting activity. The contract number is FA8617-26-C-B001, and the award was made on May 1, 2026.
