According to the Department of Defense (DoD) — C4 Planning Solutions, LLC*, Blythe, Georgia; Cambridge International Systems, Inc.*, Arlington, Virginia; Envistacom, LLC*, Atlanta, Georgia; Forward Slope, Inc.* San Diego; and SOLUTE Consulting*, San Diego are being awarded a $232,068,059 multiple-award contract for command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems integration and engineering services in support of authorized and approved U.S. security assistance and security cooperation programs.

Work will be performed in various overseas locations based on the requirement for each individual delivery order placed. The ordering period is three years for the base period up to the contract award amount. The base ordering period expires July 2018.

According to the Deparment of Defense (DoD) — General Dynamics Information Technology, Herndon, Virginia, was awarded a $20,208,718 contract for command, control, communications and computer information operations and maintenance.

Work will be performed in Korea with an estimated completion date of Sept. 29, 2016. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $17,000,000 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Yongsan, Korea APO AP, is the contracting authority.

According to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) — Acting Administrator Alfonso Lenhardt announced the U.S. Government's plans to provide an additional $266 million to help West African countries address critical gaps caused by the Ebola outbreak at the International Ebola Recovery Conference today at the UN Headquarters in New York City. The funds will help Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea to address secondary impacts of the crisis.

As case numbers continue to drop, and as response efforts continue, the U.S. has also begun to focus on helping countries in West Africa with critical recovery efforts, including improving food security, health systems and non-Ebola health services, governance and economic crisis mitigation, and innovation and communication technology.
