PASADENA, CA — Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that it was awarded a contract to provide Global Logistics and Support Services (GLASS) to the U.S. Army in Rock Island, Ill. The award includes a base period of one year plus two one-year option periods. The contract has a maximum order limit of $135 million.

Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc, Hurst, Texas, was awarded an $18,556,810 modification to contract W58RGZ-12-C-0030 to procure six additional months of contractor logistics support for Bell 407, Huey, Jet Ranger, and OH-58A&C helicopters.  Fiscal 2014 funds in the amount of $18,556,810 were obligated at the time of the award.  The estimated completion date is Aug. 8, 2014.  Work will be performed in Al Taji, Iraq, and Piney Flats, Tenn.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded a task order contract for transient quarters and dining facility in Manama, Bahrain, on Sept. 11. ECC CENTCOM Constructors, LLC, of Burlingame, Calif., was awarded the task order contract for $40.3 million.

Contrack International, Inc. (CI), of McLean, Virginia, protested the issuance of a task order to ECC CENTCOM Constructors, LLC, of Burlingame, California, under request for proposals (RFP) No. 35 MATOC MED 33 2012, issued by the Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers for the construction of transient quarters, and an enlisted and officer dining facility, in Bahrain. CI maintains that the agency improperly excluded its proposal from consideration for award.
