Harris CapRock Communications has won a potential 10-year, $46 million contract to continue developing satellite systems for the Federal Aviation Administration’s telecommunications infrastructure in Alaska.
David Cavossa, president of government services at Harris CapRock, said the company intends for the satellite technologies to help fulfill requirements of both the FAA and the Alaskan aviation community.
Raytheon Company has been awarded a contract re-newal with a potential value of $13 million to provide support services for the previously upgraded U.S. Air Force Cobra Dane radar facility.
"The Cobra Dane radar system is a key platform supporting the Air Force and Missile Defense Agency, and Raytheon's operational support and sustainment engineering have been instrumental in meeting the customer's missions," said John Harris, RTSC president. "Cobra Dane was introduced in 1977, and the upgraded hardware and software, which we support, have extended the system's operational life by more than 15 years," Harris said.
Motorola Solutions Inc., U.S. Federal Government Markets Division, Columbia, Md., is being awarded a $17,248,849 modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N39430-13-C-1220) to exercise option period one for global sustainment of enterprise land and mobile radio systems at 53 military installations worldwide. The work to be performed provides for preventive and corrective maintenance to sustain the enterprise land and the mobile radio system and associated equipment and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert compliance/patch management. This includes fixed, mobile and portable units, dispatching equipment and all associated equipment currently deployed as part of Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s enterprise land and mobile radio systems worldwide.
