Contract Awards

AAR Corporation has been awarded a medical logistics contract for the U.S. Army Medical Material Center -- Southwest Asia, located at Camp As Sayliya, Qatar. AAR’s Defense Systems and Logistics business will provide inventory management support to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The one-year agreement includes two renewal options.

Some 700-1,000 Sterling Global Operations (SGO) employees will carry out the project, called Afghan-Wide Mine and Battle Area Clearance, which will safely and efficiently remove a landmine and battle area unexploded ordnance (UXO) threat at Bagram Air Field (BAF); U.S. Forces – Afghanistan bases; and other bases and civilian access areas throughout the country.

AAR Corporation announced today that the Company’s Airlift business was selected to renew its support in Western and Central Africa. The renewal is valued at approximately $9 million in revenue and will run through mid-June 2013. AAR Airlift supports this requirement as a subcontractor to ACADEMI, LLC (formally known as Black water).

The contract renewal calls for AAR to transport personnel and supplies using two fixed-wing aircraft to support U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) and U.S. Department of Defense Counter Narco-Terrorism Program Office (CNTPO) operations.
